Back Home!

We got home last night, and now we need a vacation from our vacation!! LOL! We had an awesome trip and spending time with Mandy was wonderful.....she looks so good and is very happy. It was so hard to leave her behind, but now I'll start counting the days until March when we will see her again :) Miss Abby did well staying with Connie, she loved playing with the kids and the two puppies.....but she was so happy to see us and is being a little snuggle bug today.

Those of you who have been with my journal for a while know that I swell terribly when I travel, and this trip was no exception.....so I won't be catching up on journals until this weekend when I'm able to sit for longer periods of time. Until then, I'm catching up with my parents and helping Marv unpack. I can't wait to see what you all have been up to though....I hope all was well in your lives while I was away :)

Oh, and as we came home to a new President Elect, I will congratulate all those who supported him. I did not, and was not very happy with the outcome of the election. However, just as I have always supported President Bush, I will support President Elect Obama...I believe strongly in a country standing behind their leader, even if they do not always agree with his policies. So, I am sincerely praying for The Obamas as they prepare to take the helm of our nation, there is much work to do and the road will be long. I hope everyone who, like me, voted for John McCain, and those of you who didn't vote for either, will now close ranks as simply, Americans, and support our new leader. May God bless President Bush in his final months in office, and as always.....God bless and protect the troops who serve.

Here are just a couple of pictures to tide you over until I post this weekend with more about the trip and more photos.

Love the Pictures hon! Sounds like you had a great vacation, if you need a vacation from the vacation....that was a mouthful. I think with Obama there is a sense of hope there that wasn't there before. I truly do hope we can all pull together and bring this country around to where it should be. (Hugs)Indigo

So glad that you had a wonderful and safe trip. I so agree with your words although I am finding it hard to overcome my own disappointment at this time. I think i will be ready to be "supportive" come January and will be in prayer for him and all of our government officials.

I'm happy to hear you made it home safely. I was thinking about you the other day - wondering when you would be back. It's hard leaving our children isn't it, no matter how happy they are.

I enjoyed the photos, thanks for sharing them with us. Love the pooh bear you got. :-)

welcome home Linda!! I prayed for you guys; I hope you had a great time; it looks like you did!!!!

I'm with you about Mr. Obama; I will support him as my president and I'm praying for him/family safety/wisdom/success, but he was not my choice, but that's okay because I'm trust in the Lord

(okay, I deleted my "a corgi tells a tale journal, but I started another one a day later "a corgi in southern california, I only have 4 entries in it and nothing earth shattering; but I wanted you to know that because I'm not sure how you follow your journals and I didn't want you to "freak" when you saw my other journal was gone)

Great pictures! I'm glad you had fun. Well about the prez. I was not feeling like Obama represented me well, but I also didnt agree with all McCain was saying. But I agree about the prez, no matter who wins we should support them. People dont realize we look weak to other countries if we dont support our prez.

As for the President, if you go to my blog you'll see my thoughts. I fall in line with you. I can't say I support him, but I am praying for him and will not bad mouth him, and just pray he has our countries best interest at heart, even if I do truly question that personally.

Again, welcome home!!!!

I'm coming out of lurking mode to say, please do what you can to improve your health. Size doesn't matter... but your family (and many others) need you. I don't want anyone to look at you funny or make rude comments and you're right - they're ignorant if they do that - but you know how limited you are and you deserve to feel better and to be able to enjoy the beautiful life you have. Please take care of yourself!
*hugs*
